- Two options, PG and Adult, this review is for the adult version. I got the first book as a freebie and immediately knew I wanted to read more. Love the series and I'm about halfway through (14 books total). Each book is standalone, but creates and draws you into a bigger world with the Howard siblings. You root for them not just because they look out for their island, but because they look out for each other and the fiercely protect the ones they love. The romance is both passionate and sexy without distracting from the story. The characters aren't perfect, they make mistakes and deal with issues the best they can. Excellent writing that brings you into the Howard family and invites you into the community of Demon Isle. And the paranormal aspect that each of them have is as part of them as their duty. They utilize it without making a big deal out of it. Love the series and sad that there is a definite end to them but eager to read more of their adventures and how they find their (hopefully) happily ever after.
