"I've been a fan forever and this book is great. Ms.jance is one of my favorite writers, my only wish is that she writes faster. This book captured my interest and kept it all the way through. She never does filler pages, which I detest. (I really don't care what is on the shelves of stores, nor do I care for background on characters that mean nothing). Her endings are always perfect as I also don't like to be left with questions. In all of her series I would advise to start at the beginning, she doesn't disappoint, plus it helps to know the characters beginning. A definite must read!!!"

The A List Ali Reynolds Book 14 Audible Audio Edition J A Jance Karen Ziemba Simon Schuster Audio Books Reviews
- I see I’m going against the majority here but IMO this is the worst Ali Reynolds book Jance has written. Just seemed disjointed and difficult to read.
- This is the most recent book in J.A. Jance's Ali Reynolds series.
Dr. Edward Gilcrist is a fertility doctor in the Los Angeles area. He has photo album and biographical sketches of the men whose sperm he ha stored. That way potential recepient can choose the donor they think has the most potential or would make the best match. When th child of one of the donors develops kidney disease and needs a transplant, his mothr goes to Dr. Gilchrist in hopes to contact the donor. She is told that those records were "accidentally" destroyed when coverting to a computer database. Frustrated, angry and desperate she tuns to Ali Reynolds who at the time is an anchor on a Los Angeles are television station. Ali feels sorry for the woman and agrees to conduct an on air interview with the woman and her son. In time, not one, but several half siblings turn up. Dr. Gilchrist is arrested and sent to prison. He makes a "kill list" of all the people who "wronged" him and are responsible for being at Folsom Prison. Using the help of another inmate and his mother, he arranges for each of thee women to die in "accidents". Ali Reynolds oi his last t target. - I have read all of J. A. Janice’s books and this one was very disappointing. The first part of the book dragged. I knew it was to set up the Progeny Project for the last part of the book but the book dragged, and I almost gave up but then the second part got “a little†bit better. Hopefully the next book will be better!
- I have enjoyed previous Ali Reynolds books, but this one disappointed. I found myself skimming pages filled with repetition, minor characters’ superfluous details, and descriptions of previous books’ plots. This book is largely about a convict’s revenge plot, and most of the first half of the book is devoted to his plans and targets. Ali is one of the potential victims, but she is largely absent from these segments. The second half involves Ali more - after her firm’s Artificial Intelligence program puts together all the clues and figures out what is happening. The fact that there was never really a mystery, combined with the plot device that has an anthropomorphic AI do all the sleuthing and reasoning, makes me think this book belongs more in the Science Fiction category than Mystery.

- I always enjoy reading the Ali Reynolds stories. The past 2 have not been my favourite, because I felt like Frigg was too easy a way to get around the rules, but she's growing on me. This book was an easy read, and I look forward to the next book, whichever series it is in. I would read books with Crystal Manning as the protagonist too , she is an interesting character.
- I read this book.in one setting. I thought the whole con pet was believable. Hannah is a very complicated woman. She reminded me of my own grandmother. Ali was good. Her security assistant Shay not so much. I miss Leland a lot and hope he will be back. Thank you Ms. Jance
- Another great book by a great author. The only think bad about her books is that I read the whole thing in one day.
